A smile is a universal hello. It is one of the first things people notice about you. If you find yourself hiding your smile with your hands or smiling with sealed lips, you should consider scheduling a consultation to see what we can do to improve your smile. We want you to be proud and confident of your smile.
At your consult appointment, the assistant will take photos of your smile and impressions of your teeth. Prepare for your consult appointment by writing down what you like about your teeth and what you want improved. Are you unhappy with the whiteness of your teeth? Do you want spaces closed? Do you have old restorations that need replaced? The doctor will consider your concerns and discuss your treatment options.
The photos and impressions will be sent to our lab technicians along with a detailed prescription from the doctor explaining what needs improvement. After pouring your impressions into a solid model, the lab technicians will add wax to the model, creating a mock-up of what your teeth will look like after treatment. You will then come back to our office and view the mock-up with the doctor and decide whether to move forward with your treatment. We are confident you will be impressed and eager to proceed.
If you agree to treatment, these are a few things to consider, especially when front teeth are involved:
1. Are you happy with your current shade?
If you are considering in-office or at home whitening, make sure to have the whitening treatment finished two to four weeks prior to your preparation appointment. This gives your teeth a chance to rehydrate and allows any white spots to calm down before your final shade is taken.
2. Consider your options.
If you want a single front restoration, but lack symmetry, consider what that will do for your smile. Sometimes restoring additional teeth can make a huge impact on your overall smile, whether it is shape or shade. The doctor and lab technician consider all options for the best outcome and so should you.
3. This is an investment in your oral health and your appearance.
We understand that everyone has a budget. We will work with you on the best treatment options that fit within your financial means.

Sarah, our in-house lab technician, traveled to New Orleans to attend a three-day hands-on course led by master ceramist Olivier Tric. This course focused on refractory and non-invasive veneers. Olivier Tric is known to be one of the best dental ceramists in the world. He shared his techniques and tips on creating beautiful front teeth.
