ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM

When you evaluate a dental office, there is much to consider. We believe part of what sets us apart from other dental offices is the quality of our support team. We know there is much more to our patients than their teeth! Over the combined 70 years our front desk staff has had working at The Dental Center, we have grown to consider the people we care for as our patients AND our friends.

Anna

Hi, my name is Anna.  I feel very blessed to have called The Dental Center my employer for 17 years.  I have also been a patient of The Dental Center since I was a child and cannot imagine having my dental needs taken care of elsewhere. 

I am grateful for the relationships I have been able to build with our patients and staff over the years.  It is my goal to provide our patients with a warm welcome at each visit, just like I have had in the 30 years that I have been coming here as a patient myself.

While away from the office, my husband and I enjoy following our son's activities, being outdoors, and spending time with our friends and family. 

Jan

My name is Jan, and I appreciate being part of a great team at the Dental Center. I enjoy working as an administrative assistant at the front desk and work with some really great people.  My goal is to make a professional and warm first impression, and I try to exceed our patients’ expectations with great service.

Away from work I enjoy reading, travel, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and new puppy.


Kim

Hello, my name is Kim.  I joined the Dental Center Family in 2001. Prior to that time, my working hours were spent in outside sales to large industry, marketing support of an international manufacturing company and working with computer layout & design for catalog company.

My husband and I, along with our four children have lived in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin but enjoy spending time in travel across the Unites States and abroad. When not traveling, our 50 acre property in northern Iowa keeps us busy tending a large garden, vineyard, fruit orchard, and stocked pond. In addition to travel, reading, my kids and gardening, I love all things sport from NASCAR to golf with a special affection for Hawkeye football.

Lisa, Office Manager

Welcome to The Dental Center.  I have been with The Dental Center as Office Manager since 2003 when I was fortunate to assume the position my sister, Cindi, held here for nearly 20 years.  I have a varied background in administration, having managed medical offices as well as holding the positions of Administrative Assistant to the Provost at The University of Iowa and Administrative Assistant to the City Manager at the City of Iowa City.

Having been a patient of The Dental Center myself for 25 years, I appreciate the personalized care we offer.  It’s terrific to be able to say with pride that you work at an office that offers patients top dental skills and amazing customer service.  Every day, I see our staff strive to provide exceptional care to our patients.

My husband Jeff and I enjoy watching our two children, Amanda and Garrett, participate in a variety of activities. We also have fun keeping our home landscaping under control, traveling, and golfing (although I usually have a better time driving the cart).  Our two other kids, Ragdoll cats Putchie and Alice, keep our home lively.

Marcia

My name is Marcia.  I have been a member of The Dental Center team since August 2000.  I have worked in the dental healthcare field for 36 years.  I am a graduate of the Kirkwood Community College dental assisting program.  As a Registered Dental Assistant, I assisted chairside for 16 years and am now using my experience and knowledge in an administrative capacity to insure our patients receive maximum dental insurance benefits. I am glad to help all our patients with their dental insurance needs including processing and any questions they may have.

My time away from the office is spent reading and participating in activities with family and friends. I enjoy music, traveling, and the outdoors.

Mary

My name is Mary, and I have worked at The Dental Center in the Administration Department for over 10 years.  I enjoy building relationships with our patients.  I feel sense of genuine satisfaction when I help our patients feel comfortable from the moment they first walk in our door.  It is important that every patient, new or long-term, feel at ease and welcome in our office.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and especially our grandchildren.  My husband and I both enjoy camping.

Sue

Hi, my name is Sue. I have worked in several different medical offices over the years; including physical therapy, cardiology, and orthodontics.  I have been a member of The Dental Center administrative team since January 2002.

I am glad to be back in my hometown after living in the Quad Cities and Kansas City.  I am married with one teenage son and enjoy walking our dog, boating, and making jewelry in my spare time.  I am proud to be a part of this office--our dental team is incredible!!
